What is marketing? If you google this question, millions of results will show up and might be confusing. After reading a few, I found that the one that really explains the meaning of marketing is this one you see below.


"Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large (Approved 2017)". The American Association of Marketing reviews and updates this and other definitions every three years, so this may be changing soon.

As you can see, all that involves the promotion of your business, product, or service is Marketing, and it has an impact on you and your community. Marketing has been around forever. It's always been important, but under these pandemic circumstances, it's even more critical we use it wisely.


We are facing a crisis that forced us to close our businesses, work from home, and for some that was not even an option. For many of us, it's like starting from zero. It's scary, but not as much as the virus we are surviving, though.


With the new sanitary measures and health recommendations, we all know how important it is to make our clients feel safe right now. Your communications and marketing strategy must highlight all your efforts to make your business, product, or service reliable for your customers.
